Hi, I'm Sabrina Cox. I grew up in a military family and I'm currently seventeen years old. I started playing T-ball when I was five. Even at that age, I learned how to be tough and determined because I played with a broken wrist and that mentality has stuck with me throughout my life. I started competing in Inline Speed Skating at seven and enjoyed the sense of accomplishment the sport gave me from the success with numerous medals I earned. As much as I enjoyed racing, I didn't have the same passion as I do for softball. I started watching college softball in 2014 and when I watched Auburn play in the World Series the next year was when I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level. I’ve been an Honor Roll student my whole student career. I’ve been told by my coaches that I’m a sponge for new information during practice and can immediately use that information during drills/scenarios. I am extremely outgoing and have never met a stranger.
In my sophomore 2022 season, I ran Cross Country at the Varsity level and helped my team place 3rd at the 3A Midwest Regional which helped us qualify for the State Championship. I then competed with my team in the 2022 State Championship. In my sophomore 2023 season I was the starting center outfielder, and throughout the season I was rotated between leadoff, two, and second leadoff in the lineup to help my team. I helped my team prevail to the first round of playoffs.
In my freshman 2021 season, I ran Cross Country at the Varsity level, earned All-Conference runner, and helped my team qualify for the State Championship. I completed my freshman 2022 softball season starting on Varsity as an outfielder and leadoff hitter in every game helping my team make it to the 3A Semi-finals for North Carolina. I was selected All-Conference too.
I am a junior at Central Davidson High School; I currently play Travel Ball with the Cage 2 Stage 18U team. I am a Utility player playing outfield and 2nd base. I am now slapping.
