I am a 5'6 Libero from Raleigh, North Carolina and I am looking forward to contributing to an outstanding volleyball team in college. I have been playing club volleyball since I was 12 years old. Volleyball has helped me grow and be more outgoing. When I was 13-years old, I was chosen for a USA Volleyball High-Performance training program in Las Vegas, Nevada. I learned to be independent by flying and attending the training program by myself. The following year as a 14-year old I was selected for the USAV Girls’ Select Continental Team and we trained and competed in the High-Performance Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the fall of 2018, I was named to the 2018 AVCA Phenom List. In December 2018 I attended the AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in conjunction with the NCAA DI Women’s Volleyball National Championships. Participating in these events has been inspiring to me as an athlete. I have also been inspired by how determined my mother was in being a college athlete, and I would like to follow in her footsteps.
As a defensive player, I am determined both on and off the court. I believe I can do anything when I put my mind to it. I like to think of myself as a leader on the court. I strive to be the best teammate by supporting everyone in practice and in games. I think the most important quality of a Libero is to always put an effort forward and be aggressive on getting every ball.
I am open to attending a medium or large college. Ideally, I would like the college I attend to have a vibrant campus and a tight-knit community. I have a strong creative mentality and I hope to use that to pursue a field of study that includes design. My potential interests include interior design, industrial design, or furniture design. I’ve spent many summers and cherished time with my Grandfather in his workshop which has sparked my interests in these fields. In my free time, I enjoy nurturing my dog, painting, and having fun with my family and friends.
I look forward to challenging myself as I pursue my volleyball goals.
