My name is Revie Byars and I am 6’2” 145 lbs, varsity middle hitter. As a freshman, I was a starting JV Middle Hitter and led my team to an undefeated season. During my freshman season, I had the honor to dress out for Varsity games, and I was able to experience a higher level of play to prepare me for future seasons. From this truly amazing experience, it helped me in setting high goals for the rest of my high school volleyball career. For my sophomore, junior, and senior volleyball season I started as a varsity middle hitter. For the past two years, I lead the conference and in kills, blocks, aces, and digs. In regards to this, I was selected as an all-conference player and voted as the most valuable player for the past three years. I push myself to be a successful student first before being an athlete, also, I am a hard working student-athlete on and off the court. I train for this sport year round by constantly pushing myself in the weight-room, attending skill and ability conventions, college camps, and school workouts. For six years, I have fully committed my all to the sport of volleyball and I had one specific goal set since 8th grade. That goal was to not end my volleyball career after my senior year but to play the sport I love for many more years. After high school, I plan to play collegiate volleyball at a four year university that consist of a nursing major. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a nursing major that will position me well for medical school. On the court, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college volleyball career, I will strive to be an asset to the hitting rotation, blocking positions, and each rotation on the court. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend
