Annika Nichols '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’0, 145 pound front row player in the class of 2022. I have a current GPA of 3.5. As an athlete, I have a standing reach of 8'0, block jump of 9'2 and an approach jump of 9'8. 

I play for one of the most competitive clubs in the country, ranked 7th in the country and 1st in Ohio, AVC 16s Blue National Team out of Cleveland, Ohio during the 2020 JO season, Buckeye Fire’s National 15s Team, and Nova Juniors 11-14s American/Elite Teams in 2015-2018. 

For high school, I am currently our top outside/right side in our lineup at Archbishop Hoban high school, located in Akron, Ohio, on the JV team, as well as playing up to the Varsity level. I always play my hardest to execute any position to my very best for my teammates, coaches and club. Our past game on 10/10/19,  we played 3 sets against Beaumont High School. My stats from that game are as follows: points played: 20, attempts: 17, errors: 1, kills: 13.

          Last year for JO I was a middle hitter due to what was needed by my coach/team. However, I also played a lot of outside. I started middle throughout my freshman year and I started as a right side starter my sophomore year, but due to another player becoming injured, I became a starting outside hitter two weeks into the season. I have great experience in all three hitting positions and have no preference for college. I am a coachable player and will play the position asked of me by my coach.
