Personal Statement
- I grew up in Medina, Ohio with my 2 parents, my sister who attends University of Akron, and my brother (who lives in a group home now). I became interested in volleyball in the 4th grade because my parents coached my sister in her youth, and they thought I should try it out. I learned with starting to play volleyball that I love to not only try new things, but succeed in them. I learned that I like to push myself.
- My academic goals for high school are to maintain a cumulative of above a 4.0 and I have succeeded so far! I would love to succeed academically and athletically in college, as well.
- I had knee problems in my past high school career, but it has pushed me to trust the process and learn how to take care of myself. I love to do different workouts every week and push myself to do yoga, do P90X, and bike long distances. I stay calm and can think things through methodically, without getting upset; especially during volleyball season. I bring a great amount of intelligence to my game. I have a great sense of empathy for others, considering I grew up alongside my brother who has autism. I learned to accept people for who they are and not to judge them.
