From since I was young to now, my goal has always been to get into a college with a sports program that fits me and fills educational needs. I aspire to get a bachelors in Actuarial Science or Finance, and continue to higher level education as well. I truly believe that I am a good candidate for a team because I will never become selfish. I am very much a team player, and believe that whatever it takes for my team to succeed, I will contribute in whatever role I am given. I believe in picking up every single player at all times, as well as maintaining a positive mindset and environment between players. My life experiences make me appreciate the moments. Volleyball has always been my family’s happy place in difficult times. So much so that I have contributed my free time in the form of coaching and refereeing when I am unable to play. My mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 when I was ten. One year later she became my volleyball coach and coached me until I was fifteen. I realize the importance of the game to build character. I believe in trust, care, and commitment to excellence. My teammates can trust that I will do my personal best for the team. I care about my teammates and the coaching staff. I am committed to excellence in everything from building relationships, my academics, and being an excellent teammate, athlete, sister, daughter, and friend. My family is still battling the disease but we have a W.I.N. (What’s Important Now) philosophy and believe we can achieve anything with this mindset. Athletically I have dedicated many years of my life in an attempt to improve my game every time I pick up the ball. One of my biggest achievements athletically would be that I am a sand Volleyball Player and a Court Player. I have gotten national bids for both of these sports, and think that each improves my game for the other. As for my academics, my performance is exceptional. My GPA scale has recently moved up to a 5.0 due to taking AP Classes, and I have maintained around a 4.7 cumulative. Throughout my school career, I have made the Honor Roll each quarter. Even receiving an honorary award from the school for maintaining over a 4.0 total per semester consecutively over my first year at the highschool. I have also been placed in the gifted programs since third grade.
