Personal Statement
I was born in Vitebsk, Belarus and was adopted when I was 18 months old. I began playing volleyball in the 2nd grade at our local YMCA. I have been influenced and motivated over the years, through my many wins and losses. My motto is, you can't change the past but you can only learn from it and make yourself better! Making and starting varsity as a freshman was definitely a highlight to start my high school career, and I hope to continue to help my team as I grow in skill and understanding of the game I love.
I fell in love with volleyball early, because of the teamwork it takes to play. I have made so many good friends from the teams I have played on and I love working towards that one team goal each and every point. I also love the competitive nature and speed of the game, which allows me to play my best.
In high school, I hope to improve academically and keep working to learn as much in school as I do on the court, to fulfill my goal of becoming a physical therapist.
