Emma Dellinger '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade.  In my freshman year of high school, I made Varsity and played continuously.  During my 4 years of high school and 2 years of Club, I have played every position with great success.  I am all about working together and being able to mentally challenge the opposing teams.  This season alone, I served 8 aces during a 4 game match as well as scored 5 points in a row during another match.  Using my brain to out wit the opponent is something I strive for.   I am always paying attention, on court and in the classroom.  I am a self starter, but take every opportunity coaches are able to give me to get better at my sport.  Currently my high school team is ranked 2nd on the white tier of the All Conference Division.  Each year of the last 4 years, our team became more competitive and won more games working together.  I give 100% each time I set foot on the court for my team, coaches and for myself.

I have also been playing basketball since 4th grade.  In 5th grade, I was asked to play up with 6th graders on a local All-Star team which finished  2nd in the division.  I have played 1 year of AAU basketball.  It was a great learning experience.  My best quality is being a defensive player and stealing the ball, then passing it to our best shooter.  Again, I give 100% to the team and coaches.
