Hi coaches and college recruiters. My name is Addie Koontz and I play volleyball for Olmsted Falls Highschool and Southwest Volleyball Company. My main goal is to always be the hardest worker in the room. I am never satisfied with doing the same amount of work as someone else. I believe everything I want I have to work for. I will be the first person in the gym and the last to leave. My main goal in college is to play on a very highly skilled and competitive team where my fellow teammates will attempt to outwork me. I will always do extra lifting sessions and get more practice in so I can put myself in the best position to succeed. Along with working hard I value being a great teammate. This means helping others out when they are feeling down, leading in my play and by example, and helping out with the little things such as team building activities. On my high school team I was a DS on varsity as a freshman where we had a 23-2 season and were conference champions and district runner ups. This season on varsity I have been playing the libero spot and passing a 2.2 for our regular season. On my club team I was also libero and I passed a 2.2 on serve receive. Our team double qualified for nationals in USA division and were one of the top ranked teams in Ohio. Now I'm starting off my season on the 16-1 team as the libero. Aside from my athletics I work hard in the classroom. I push myself with the classes I take and want to challenge myself and go out of my comfort zone. I took four honors classes one semester and three honors classes the other semester of my freshman year. My goal to bring to your team is the intangibles that you can’t teach. What I mean by this is that I will be the hardest worker on your team and in the classroom. I will also show respect and being a great teammate in whatever role I play on your team.
