Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in the 3rd grade, playing CYO volleyball until I graduated grade school. I am currently a senior Outside Hitter at Holy Name High School. I have also played club volleyball since the 4th grade (10's). Playing volleyball has been a huge part of my life providing me the opportunity to learn from many good coaches and also what's it's like to work as a team. Competing not only strengthens my volleyball skills, but makes me feel better connected to others and allows me to challenge myself both physically and mentally. I continuously challenge myself to be the best player I can be both on and off the court. After each practice or game I may be tired, but I always find myself analyzing how I played so I can improve and learn from my mistakes. I am always eager to get back onto the court with my teammates and continue to strengthen my skills. I look forward to cheering on my teammates and celebrating their successes just as much as mine. My main position is an outside hitter, but I have also played back row and served the past three seasons on my club teams never leaving the court which has helped me become a stronger 6 rotation outside hitter. My goal for the future is to excel at my studies to help me achieve my goal of becoming a criminal profiler all while playing the sport I love.
