Caitlin Anglemier '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’10” middle hitter from Salem, Oregon, where I graduated from Blanchet Catholic High School in 2013. I am now a sophomore at Carroll College. I signed a letter of intent to play for Carroll, but in late April of 2014, I was released from the team, and therefore am not currently playing. I am interested in pursuing the possibility of transferring so I may continue playing the sport I love, which I have played since I was 10 years old.My new college home would need to allow me to continue my studies in International Relations and French. A Political Science major which allows an international concentration would be acceptable, but a minor or major in French is a must.While in high school, I was a four year varsity player, three as a starter. As a junior and senior, I was a six rotation middle hitter.  After my senior season, I was selected to the 3A All State First Team and was named All Mid-Valley Volleyball Athlete of the Year and All Mid Valley First Team. I was named First Team All PacWest Conference and was selected to the 3A All State Tournament Team. I led my team in aces, blocks and points per set, was second in kills and digs, and had six double-double matches. I was elected a co-captain by my teammates. After my junior season, I was selected to the PacWest All Conference First Team, the All Mid-Valley First Team, the 3A All State Second Team, and the 3A All State Tournament Team. My teammates elected me co-captain and chose me as their Most Valuable Player. One of the highlights of my high school career was when USA Volleyball invited me to join their 2011 High Performance program as an outside hitter. I was selected to the Girls' Youth Continental Team, and competed in the High Performance Championships in Tucson, AZ.
