Sophia Spiridonakos '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal for college is not only to compete at the highest level possible, but also to receive the best education I can. I have a passion and love for the game. I knew I wanted to take volleyball more seriously in 8th grade, after watching my brother play in one of his high school matches. I know I have what it takes to be a highly successful collegiate student-athlete. 

I have played as a right side, middle and 6-rotation outside hitter. My favorite position is outside hitter, however, my athleticism has allowed me to play wherever necessary at times for the good of my team. My leadership has earned me the captain role in my junior year. Every time I walk on the court, I strive to play to the best of my abilities and to compete at the highest possible level. I bring a positive and focused attitude to the game. I have worked very hard to increase my ability to recognize the next play on the court. My enthusiasm and passion for the game are my biggest assets. I am also a very coachable and diverse player. I am proud of my accomplishments in high school and am looking forward to achieving even more as a collegiate student-athlete.
