My name is Giuliana Spadea and I am currently a 5’7’ middle hitter for my high school and club teams. My primary position is middle hitter, however during club season I also have experience playing both the pin hitting positions. I have been playing volleyball since 4th grade in intramural and CYO leagues, and on my middle school 7th and 8th grade teams. I plan to attend and play volleyball for a four year college followed by attending grad school for an advanced professional program.
Academically, I have always been an honors or distinguished honors student and was in the National Junior Honor Society in Middle School. As a freshman at Sun Valley High school I am in all available honors classes including one honors sophomore class. Athletically, outside of volleyball, I played 5 years of intramural and club soccer starting at four years old, 3 years of rec and middle school softball, and this spring I plan to join the track team.
I’d be a great candidate for a college volleyball program because I love Volleyball, I understand the commitment which is required to play at the collegiate level, and I am willing to put in the work. I bond with my teammates quickly and regularly show good sportsmanship with other teams that we play. I consistently stay in the mindset of getting better and remain open to learning new things, and I continue to have the determination and the drive to play my hardest every day.
