My name is Adeline Phillips. I am currently a Senior attending York Catholic High School in York, PA. I started playing volleyball as a 5th grade student, and fell in love with the sport immediately. I have trained and played for my school and at the national club level (Ballyhoo/ Nook)for the past 9 years. During my Senior year I helped lead my team to a league championship, a PIAA 2A district title, and a Silver medal in the PIAA State Championship. Over my 3 years as a starter at York Catholic, I’ve helped lead my team to state rankings of #5 my sophomore year, #3 my junior year, and #2 my senior year. Also, over that span, my team has amassed 3 league championships, 1 District championship, 2 District runner-ups, and a State runner-up. Individually, I was voted 2021 YAIAA Division III player of the year by the coaches. I was also voted to the District 3 AA All Star, twice, as well as a PIAA All State selection., twice. Over the past two seasons I have collected 530 kills, 330 digs, 44 aces, 37 blocks, and 500 serve receives with only 32 errors, while leading my team to a 40-8 record. My goal is to utilize what I’ve learned, and what I continue to learn, in order to have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. I am a very versatile player. Although my primary position is outside hitter, I have played a role in every position on the court, and continue to work on every aspect of the game. My ultimate goal is to find a college or university that can provide for me the best education in the area of criminal law. I am a person who finds joy in helping others. I believe that my positive attitude towards others and their needs will allow me to assist in making my community a better place to live, grow, and prosper. I enjoy being a part of something bigger than myself. My team: coaches, parents, and teammates, have provided for me the realization that through dedication and hard work, any goal is attainable. I am a dedicated and hard working athlete. More than the games, I enjoy the process of becoming the best player, leader, teammate, and person I can be. I believe that I will be a great addition to any program/college that can assist in helping me reach my goals and dreams.
