Personal Statement

I’m an outside hitter with four years of club experience and recently finished my freshman season at Clover High. I’ve been a starter on both my 7th and 8th-grade teams, and my dream is to play Division 1 volleyball in college. I’m not completely sure what career I want to pursue yet, but I’m really interested in both health sciences and marine biology.

Volleyball is my passion, but I know it’s not always easy. I’ve faced challenges in the game and I’m working hard to overcome them. I’m definitely tough on myself because I always want to be the best I can be, and I also try to be a supportive teammate. What makes me different is my willingness to try new things, even when I know there’s a chance I might fail. I believe that’s how I’ll grow, both as a player and a person.

I’m excited about the idea of joining a college team where I can keep improving, push my limits, and contribute to something bigger than myself. I may be young, but I’m ready to work hard and give my best effort on and off the court.

Team captain | TEAM FINISH HIGHLIGHTS: 5th place (5 out of 40), Big South Qualifier; 1st place (1 out of 25) 2024 Carolina Challenge; 2nd place (2 out of 20) K2 Club Clash; 5th place (5 of 48) Queen City Classic. CUVC is the Top Ranked Volleyball Club in the Charlotte Area. With over 30 travel teams for girls and boys, they are the destination for volleyball. A training centered club, they emphasize development and fundamentals in all their travel teams, camps, and clinics. They are also the only full-time volleyball facility in Charlotte.

Summer Camps-Digging: Floor Skills, Hitting and Setting, Serve and Pass, Ball Control Boot Camp; Fall training; Pre-tryout clinics; November bootcamp; SEC volleyball camp for pins & liberos; Impact beach volleyball (3 months).

All Skill Camp: All Skills camp is designed for campers ages 8-16 years old. We will focus on developing and improving the fundamentals of volleyball. Passing, serving, setting, defense and attacking as well as team systems and competition will all be covered during camp.

Jr. Elite Camp: Jr Elite camp is designed for campers ages 9-16 years old. This is a great progression from our All Skills camps. We will focus on improving all skills & developing more advanced skills & techniques, such as, serve & serve receive, defensive techniques, attacking and blocking. We will quickly get in to team play and offensive & defensive systems during camp.

2024 Advanced Spring training, July High School camps (serve & pass, hitting & setting, perfecting your serve, ball control boot camp, hit the ball harder, competition & games). One-on-One training and clinics with Robert Stout (14 Premiere Coach), Maddie Spurgeon (18 Premiere Coach), and Josef Santos (15 National Coach).
