Hello, my name is Kaityln Walker better known by my friends as Katie. I have played volleyball for the past 7 years. My senior year high school season just ended. I was the starting libero. Lexington High School finished as Region 5 5AAAAA champs and lost in the lower state championship. I will play on the 18 Mizuno Magnum volleyball team in Columbia, South Carolina as the starting libero for the upcoming club season.
My determination to become a better player is what makes me different from other recruits. I will do anything it takes to get the ball up. I hustle on every play, get to every ball and am not afraid of diving if that is what it takes. I am a team player always encouraging others to push themselves to succeed. I’m never willing to let a teammate down.
I am very excited to get an education and looking forward to becoming a Physical Therapist specializing in helping those with special needs.
Everything about volleyball has helped me become who I am today and has made me a better person all around. My dream is to be able to play volleyball on the collegiate level. I want to continue my journey through life while having volleyball still play a huge role.
