Volleyball is my passion. It has taught me to be strategic, confident, and determined. I have been learning and improving my skills since I started at age 9 and I have grown into an intelligent and dedicated player. My position is mainly Libero/DS but I have played as an outside hitter when needed. I am a leader on and off the court which is necessary for my role on the team. I am very enthusiastic and I love to encourage my teammates and celebrate our accomplishments. Playing club volleyball challenged me to become quicker, stronger, and smarter. I spent 2 years at ACE Volleyball, 1 year at Texas Image, and I am currently playing for 360 Volleyball; all of these organizations have taught me how to be a supportive teammate and a dynamic player. I go to Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy where I am in the top 5% academically. My school does not have sports, so I play for the neighboring school: Grand Prairie High. As a freshman, I was on Junior Varisty, and in my sophomore and junior year, I was on Varsity as the libero and captain. Both years that I was on Varisty I received 1st Team All-District and the Gopher Award. I have always been ecstatic to go to college because of the people in my life who have gone and the great things I have heard about it. I am interested in pursuing a degree in psychology or nutritional science. I’m most excited to meet new people, take engaging classes, and create unforgettable memories. Playing volleyball in college is one of my biggest goals and it has been a dream of mine since I started the sport. College volleyball will allow me to combine my love for the game and my excitement of gaining a higher education. There is always something new to learn in volleyball, and I am always looking for ways to improve and further my abilities.
