My main goal for volleyball in the future is to play in college. I want to put all of the skills and game play I have received through school and club volleyball to use. I want to find a school that is able to help me academically, socially, and in volleyball. I am also not afraid to try something new and to be in a different environment. Volleyball is also a way for me to branch outside of my friends at school and meet new people and see different experiences. I enjoy meeting new athletes and forming strong bonds with them. These bonds help when playing because they build the trust needed to become a stronger team all together. This strong connection allows each person to grow as a player and trust each other when on the court. One thing that sets me apart from other players atheltic wise is that I really try my best on the court to control my attitude when things are going down because everyone feeds off of each other's energy, so as a captain on my team, it's my job to be a leader for everyone on the team. when everyone is having fun and they have high energy, everyone plays better and starts to work as a team. I also try to demonstrate leadership by lifting everyone up and just being there for each person. During the season it can be challenging to balance academics and sports, so it's important to use your time responsibly. Most athletes might put more effort into sports instead of balancing sports and academics, but I am able to maintain almost all A's throughout the school year because I balance my time between school and athletics. I like to plan out my weeks and which assignments I will do each day, so I can have tine to practice and finish my school work. I am different from other student athletes because I balance academics, athletics, and my social life to the point where everything will get done and will lead me to success.
