Angelica Davis '23 Recruiting Profile

Coachable, athletic, team player, that prides myself on being disciplined, driven and always wanting to learn more. I love being a student of the game! My name is Angelica Davis and I am an unsigned senior at Morton Ranch High School located in Katy, TX.  I am a 5'8", three sport student-athlete that plays Middle Blocker & Outside Hitter. I am beginning to explore my college options and I am very interested in playing volleyball on the next level. 

My goal is to compete on the next level. As a triple sport student-athlete, I have become very aware that my positive attitude and determination are my most admirable assets. As I reflect on my journey throughout these years, I can honestly say I have grown both mentally and physically. I understand what is required in order to become a successful student-athlete. In sports my drive is good, but academically my work ethic is just as good. My 3.6 GPA speaks for itself.

I finished last season as the leading blocker on our varsity team and second in District 19-6A. I am comfortable passing and playing defense in the back row as well. Furthermore, I am the starting 19-6A All-District/Academic power forward for our varsity basketball team two years in a row. I finished as the team's MVP, Leading Rebounder and Offensive Player of the Year. I also run track competing in the 100, 200, 4x1 and 4x4. This past season I was a the 19-6A District Championship 4x400m relay team and a regional qualifier in the 200 & 4x400. This semester, I am taking AP Japanese because I love everything about the culture. I am also a USA Track and Field Junior Olympian and All-American due to competing in the 4x400 and placing 3rd in the nation. 

My ideal athletic experience would be one where I could make an impact early in my collegiate career. I understand the concept of a team. I can offer your team athleticism, leadership, pride and in return you will get a young lady that is coachable, driven, determined, full of hustle, and who understands what it takes to give up something in order to gain something more meaningful. I love being a student of the sport and I hope you decide to add me to your list of potential student athletes!

Even though I am a versatile athlete, my passion is playing volleyball!
