I am Bella Woodard, a multi-sport athlete, and I love opportunities where I can use my creativity. I enjoy science and engineering because it allows my mind to reach new heights, with the intention of innovation. Whether it’s at school, in sports, or in my free time, I take what I love and apply it everywhere I go. For example, being a Superintendent Scholar and member of the National Honor Society I’ve been recognized for my initiative and leadership skills that I bring to my community and on the court.
My family has a rich athletic tradition. My father Warwick Woodard played football at SMU, my uncle Isaac Thomas won a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys, and my cousin Charles Austin won gold in the men’s high jump at the ‘96 Olympics. With many cousins who have participated in collegiate athletics, I would love to continue the tradition.
