Personal Statement
I first played club volleyball in 2012/2013 in Connecticut, but my passion for the game began when we moved from Connecticut to Texas in 2015. I was looking for a way to get connected and meet people during my eighth grade year and fell in love with the sport and haven't looked back. Besides loving the mental, technical and physical part of the game, I am forever grateful for the friendships and life lessons it has taught me: trust, determination, perseverance, confidence, joy, and consistency. Recently my varsity team and I returned from Nationals where we had to push past disappointment individually as well as corporately in order to stay focused and strong ultimately taking 5th place overall. This season has developed not only my athletic ability, but my mental game as well. In my free time I enjoy playing sand volleyball at our local court and hanging out with my friends. I am interested in nursing, forensic science, and marine biology. I'm looking for a school that offers not only a a competitive athletic program, but also offers strong academics. I would be a great asset to your program because I am driven, dedicated, and diligent in my athletics as well my academics.
