Volleyball has been my passion for years now. It all started in the 3rd grade when I played Community-Ed. I played all through elementary school. Then in the 6th grade I played my first year of club. When I started playing "big girl" volleyball I got put in the setting position, and fell absolutely head over heels in love with the position in that moment. In middle school I was always told I would never be succesful, because of my height. I decided I was going to work my hardest to prove everyone wrong, and be an outstanding student athlete. I continued to play club, and received some great coaching from my 15's coach. She really trained me to be the setter I am today. So, when my freshman year began I was playing full rotation. I was an outside hitter and the starting setter. Now I am the captain of my high school team, and have been since my sophomore year. I still play full rotation, and I am highly respected on my team. In my three years of varsity of volleyball I have received All-District Newcomer of the Year, All Parker County Newcomer of the Year, 1st Team All-District, twice Academic All-District, twice TGCA All State Team, All-District Setter of the Year, All Parker County "Court-Wise" Award and I will be playing in the TGCA All Star game in July. At my high school, I am in the National Honor Society, Class Treasurer, a member of the Prom Committee, and I am also the boys varsity basketball manager. In college, I plan on majoring in Sports Medicine. I plan on helping my collegiate team win their conference title all four years and advancing to collegiate championships. I want to show my teammates how bad I want to win each and every game. I will also strive to be a leader on and off the court. After graduating college with a bachelors in Sports Medicine, I plan on finding a job as an athletic trainer at a school that I love, getting married and starting a family of my own. People always tell me I am a natural born leader and I always find a way to the top someway or another, in athletics, academics, and anything I put my mind and effort towards.
