Megan Clary '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11" green eyed blond who loves playing volleyball. I would say that my most valuable quality is my powerful line shot and my awesome consistency to score a point. Regardless of the team we play, the pressure we are under, or the way the rest of my team is playing, I feel that I always play to the best of my ability and that I very rarely have what I think is a bad game. Even when I am off a little, I still play pretty well and have a reasonable number of kills and few mistakes. I can always find a way to put the ball down. I would love to play outside hitter, but because of various reasons over the last few years, I've been called on to play off-side hitter or even middle blocker (in high school). I've always risen to the occasion, and have become pretty good at the positions I have been placed in. Because of this, I feel that I'm a very versatile player who can play pretty much anywhere on the front row. The downside is that I've seldom been able to play the back row and I need some work on defense. I'm hoping to get that work this upcoming high school season, when I'll finally be able to play outside hitter and all the way around! I'm really hoping to play at a University somewhere in the south or Colorado (I like the mountains.) Where it's warm much of the time and not too far from home (Texas). I'm stillundecided on a major but am leaning towards Behavioral Science or something of that nature. I'm good but not great at science and math, but really enjoy psychology and english and classes of that sort. I would love to play as a freshman, but am realistic enough to know that that may be difficult to accomplish. I'm willing to work hard to make that happen, though, if given the chance to shine.
