My name is Giana Brown and I am a 2025, 6’2” middle blocker but I can play anywhere in front row. I play club for Impact 171 and attend Brennan High School in San Antonio, Texas.
As a freshman, I started on varsity for Brennan High School ending the season 6-10 but we learned to come together as a team and work hard for each other. I also ended the season with 121 kills and 56 blocks. I made 2nd Team Academic All-District.
As a sophomore, I started on varsity for Brennan High School, we ended our 2022 season 24-20 overall and 9-7 in out district making it to playoffs. Unfortunately we lost in the first round but we work hard as a team to achieve our goal to go to playoffs. I ended the season with 286 kills, .297 hitting percentage, and 145 blocks. I also received MVP at the Harlandale Tournament, made 2nd Team Academic All-District and received a Game Ball at the end of the season.
As a junior, with my 3rd year of being on varsity at Brennan High School, we started the season strong with being 16-0 and lost our first game in a tournament to the defending 4A state champions and ended 3rd overall in that tournament, overall we were 38-8 we took sets from teams we haven't taken sets from before and beating our rivals in a 5 set match after losing to them first round in another 5 set match. Our team also made it to the 4th round of playoff making school history. I ended the season with 351 kills, 115 blocks, .391 hitting percentage, leaving me ranked 25th in the state of Texas. I also received Harlandale All-Tournament team, 2nd team Academic All District, San Antonio Express News All Area Team, 1st Team All District, and Brennan Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
I have played on the same club team since I was 12 years old and they have become my family. I am looking to find that combination of competitive drive, great communication, and sense of family in a college program both on and off the court. I am interested in the health and science field and I am looking for a school that is competitive in both athletics and academics. I look forward to what the future holds for me academically and in athletics.
