My name is Valeria Zavala, I am a senior at John Jay Science and Engineering Academy where I have played on the varsity team for the past 4 years as a middle blocker.
I am interested in pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
what started as a leisure activity encouraged by my parents, became one of my biggest passions. In my training, I came to learn many important life and character lessons which began to grow my knowledge and appreciation of the sport of volleyball. I believe a team is a unit we are not only meant to play our designated role, but we are meant to push each other to improve.
I am a hard worker and a keen student on and off the court.
