Mikayla Hobbs '16 Recruiting Profile

In college I will be majoring in biomedical sciences to hopefully be accepted into a veterinary program and receive a doctorate in veterinary medicine. What makes me a good and different candidate than other recruits is that I feed off competition. I will always try my hardest, play my best and do everything I can to get a win for my team.  My position in high school was outside hitter, but due to height limitations, I am willing to focus as a defensive specialist.  

Academically I take any advanced courses offered to me and try my best to make the best grades I can in each class.I am also a multi sport athlete. I play three other sports besides volleyball and play multiple positions in each sport. I specifically chose volleyball though because of the adrenaline rush it brings and the discipline and integrity it teaches you. I also love how it makes you work with and trust other people. It is definitely not a one-man sport. I love to have a good time and be around people and volleyball has the perfect characteristics and personality to match my own.
