Hello, my name is Cutter Gray. I am a sophomore at Stephenville High School. I am a catcher/utility player. If I am not catching I typically play middle infield, but I have played 3rd and some outfield. As a freshman I was the starting catcher for the Freshman team, then worked my way up to starting Junior Varsity catcher and by the end of the season I was catching for the JV team and catching bullpen for the varsity team. This was a great learning experience for me. I was one of two freshman that worked up to the varsity team. I have had the opportunity to learn the game of baseball from some outstanding coaches. I know without them I would not be the player I am today.
I started taking dual credit Spanish classes this year and I hope to be a few classes away from a minor in Spanish by the time I graduate high school. I have worked on my GPA and I have set a goal to graduate with a 3.8 or higher. I have not decided on a major for college. I want to keep my options open at this point.
This past summer I was nominated for the Ambassador Leadership Program. I spent a week at Yale University working on my student leadership skills. This experience allowed me to meet other students from around the World and work with them in developing a Community Action Plan that was presented to our fellow student leaders. This was a great learning experience for me and I look forward to attending the Leadership Program again in 2020. I feel the experiences I gain through the Ambassador Leadership Program will give me skills needed to be successful on and off the field.
In my free time I like to fish, hunt, and spend time with family. And I will be volunteering at our local animal shelter this year.
I look forward to the recruiting process and the people I will meet on the way. I work hard to become a better person, on and off the field. I know I can take these skills to college and be successful.
