Personal Statement
The first sport I really got into was swimming. I loved the swimming part of swimming, but when it came to meets, it really felt like an individual sport. We were a team, but during events I felt alone. The first time I played volleyball I loved the team aspect of it. We either won the point as a team or lost the point as a team. I was hooked. I started playing DS/L. As a freshman in high school I was selected to play setter. I absolutely love being a setter. We played a 6-2, but I was not the starting setter. We had amazing setters at my high school, and three of them were my age. The competition was fierce, and I was worried about my chances of advancing over the next few years. I worked hard as a freshman, but that club season I worked my butt off. The following summer I lived volleyball, going to clinics, camps, and private lessons. I put in the work and sophomore year I was the starter. As a Junior I played JV and Varsity, and was the JV team Captain. That year I received an all region honorable mention. At North Peak I have received awards for Attitude and Knowlege. Volleyball has taught me that if you work hard you can reach your goals. I am still working hard and reaching for my goals.
My goal is to continue playing volleyball at the collegiat level. I work hard to have a great attitude on the court and feel like I can increase the energy of my team. I do my best to be an asset to any team that I am a part of.
I love animals! My dream job would be to own an animal rescue. I really want to do something in a field that helps animals. I plan to study to be a Veterinarian with a good background in business.
