Hello, my name is Olivia Huff. I'm a middle hitter/opposite hitter. I've been playing volleyball since fourth grade and club since my freshman year in high school.
I'm very passionate about the sport. I've played for two club teams, OlyReign 15's and Capital Ice 16's and 17's. This will be my third year with Capital Ice. During school season I play for Katie Turcotte at Capital High School, where we won 3rd at state in 2018 in the 3A tournament. During school season, I play middle hitter, and during club season I play right side.
Currently my reach is 7' 8", my block is 9' 1", and my approach is 9' 2". During club season I get personal training from ProActive to improve my vertical jump and my arm swing speed. My favorite thing about volleyball is blocking and defense. I've been working very hard on my blocking and I've improved, too as you'll see in my video.
I would like to continue my education to the collegiate level with volleyball because I love the sport and it would be a great way to make new connections while continuing to do what I love. My plan is to major in education or sports med because I would like to be a teacher or a trainer. I've always wanted a career where I will help people on their journey.
I am very competitive but I am also coachable and a leader on the court. I'm looking forward to find my perfect fit at college and with the team.
