Personal Statement
My name is Alexis McNeil and I would like to further my volleyball career and my academics. I started playing volleyball in 2010. Right as I stepped onto the court for my first childhood game, I knew I had fallen in love with it. Volleyball has given me the chance to work hard with other teammates and to feel confident in myself. I am thankful for the opportunities I have by playing with my teammates and to work with coaches. I have aspirations to play in a new environment and a higher level of experience.
I started to play club volleyball when I was 12. I have 5 years of experience playing at a more competitive level. Each year, my playing has improved and my love for the sport grows more. Playing as a Libero is where I find the most excitement, but I am flexible to be playing in any other position.
When I'm not playing volleyball, I focus on my academics. Academics are very important to me. During the school year, I make sure that I get everything done and turned in on time. I hold myself accountable for my grades. When I go to college I aspire to work in the Criminal Justice field, to one day become either a Criminal Psychologist or a Forensic Phycologist.
In 2017, I started highschool. My freshman year I played on Junior Varsity. When my Sophomore year came around I played on both Junior Varsity and Varsity but then moved full time to Varsity. In my 2019-2020 season, I played on Varsity also. Each year of playing high school volleyball I had maintained a 3.60-3.80 GPA Average.
