Aaliyah Henry '20 Recruiting Profile

It has been a pleasure to operate in many different roles on a very competitive team. During my four years at Capital High School my expectation has been to grow in knowledge and skillset of the game. I have played several positions such as right hitter, middle hitter, DS,and Libero, I have allowed myself to be whatever my team needed at the time. Playing various positions gave me an advantage that most do not have the opprotunity to use. I do not believe that my career ends at the highschool level and so I continue to strive to find the perfect fit for me at the collegiate level. 

Approximately 5 months ago I faced one of the hardest setbacks in my athletic career however the determination within would not allow me to quit.  As a four year starter, team captain, all tournament and honorable mention player I bring my passion and my never quit attitude.  I assure not only you but myself that my leadership, followership, and knowledge of the game would enhance your program. In the words of Winston Churchill, "To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour." 

Volleyball is my talent and I am ready and waiting for that figurative tap on the shoulder.
