As a committed varsity player for the Ellsworth Volleyball Team, my versatility shines through my ability to adeptly play as a setter, right side, and middle, making me a valuable utility player. My role as a captain extends beyond gameplay; I take it seriously, knowing it encompasses responsibilities on and off the court.
This year, with a new coaching staff, I've been instrumental in the revival of the Ellsworth Volleyball Program. I've initiated open gyms three times a week, significantly boosting team involvement and commitment to fitness.
My efforts in volleyball were recognized with a WIAA Middle Border All-Conference Award, and I've led in assists, kills, and blocks. My junior season was pivotal for skill development and team synergy. Playing with the 17-1 Hudson Croix Attack Team in the JO volleyball league further honed my competitive edge.
Beyond volleyball, I am actively involved in track and field during the JO season, specializing in shot put and discus. My dedication led me to sectionals last year, and I am striving to reach the state championships this year.
In off-seasons, I engage in cross-training, attend skill camps, and focus on weightlifting to enhance my athleticism. I also play sand volleyball in summer, sharing my passion and knowledge with my younger siblings at our home sand volleyball court.
Academically, I am a top-performing student with straight A's in numerous AP classes. My involvement in extracurricular activities like the musical and Vocal Jazz, alongside my selection for the Wisconsin State Honors Choir, highlights my diverse talents. Participating in the Youth Leadership Conference and the WIAA Sportsmanship Summit reflects my dedication to leadership and positive community influence.
As one of the eldest in a family of nine, I understand the importance of being a role model. I take pride in mentoring my siblings, instilling values of hard work and dedication.
My journey in sports and academics illustrates my commitment, versatility, and leadership skills. I am eager to bring these qualities to a collegiate program, contributing significantly as both an athlete and a student.
