Ever since I can remember I have always been motivated to become the best person that I can be. Finishing my life knowing I didn't meet my potential is my biggest fear and I believe this drive is what sets me apart from other kids. Being the youngest of four daughters, I have always been ambitious, determined to spread my light. My parents divorced when I was in elementary school and this hardship taught me my self identity. My eighth grade year, I did online school and my mom and I traveled around North America and spent a few months in Mexico. Through this journey, I learned that sports should not be who anyone is but it should be how they learn who they are and a launchpad to become who they want to be. Sports foster self improvement and allow for leadership development and personal awareness/growth. Sports and specifically volleyball, is a space where I can not only have fun doing something I love but a place I can push myself to become a better person. My parents met playing volleyball and all my older sisters played, along with my mom coaching numerous years so I am not exaggerating when I say I spent much of my childhood in a gym. This makes me a good candidate for any team because it shows the unique knowledge and awareness I have for volleyball and that whatever role I am placed in I will work hard to succeed at. I will value the lessons it teaches me and remember every opportunity to play is special. My goals and aspirations for college are to further the expansion of who I am and who I am becoming. I want to become a better athlete and in turn a better person.
