Samuel Dunwell '18 Recruiting Profile

My passion is wrestling! In the past 3, going on 4 years of my high school career, I have had to battle the doubters, the bad influences and mostly myself in getting to where I am now.  I have started from the bottom, not only in academics, but in athletics too.  I was putting out average effort in school and at wrestling practice so I was getting average results.   But as each year of high school went by, I have progressively improved my character, academics and athletics.  With my senior right here in front of me, I have the pedal to the metal in trying to achieve my personal high school goal to be Lana'i High and Elementary schools first state champion in any sport!  If I earn the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, my only ambition would be to become a national champion! I believe if I am in a uncomfortable setting I will continue to develop myself and lead my teammates around me.  I appreciate what the sport of wrestling has already taught me and eager to reach the next level.
