Cole Gros '25 Recruiting Profile

When I was 7 years old my dad introduced me to the sport of wrestling and it has completely changed my life . Not only has wrestling changed my physical appearance but it has developed my undying will  of never giving up and determination. I believe that I would benefit any college wrestling program because of the traits that have lead to my success on the mat and in the classroom. These traits have earned me numerous state titles, national all-American status, and straight A's.  Some of those traits are to work hard, stay humble, never give up, and have respect for any and everyone.

Now going into my senior year of Highschool I have made many accomplishments. I have been 1st Team all-metro twice, and 2nd team all-metro once. My records for my three years on varsity so far in high school has been 41-10(freshman), 43-7(sophomore), and 43-2(junior year). Making my total High School record 127-19. Each of those years I was ranked in the top 5 of the weight class. This past year I had my best showing at state taking 3rd at 144lbs. For my final year my goal is to win my first state title and be the hardest worker in the room at all times. 

As for my academics, they are always the main priority to succeed in life. I have finished every year in high school so far with a 4.0 GPA or higher. In these years I have taken multiple honors, AP, and Duel Enrolment courses if multiple subjects. I have recently scored my best on the ACT being a 23 and still looking to improve. My Academic goals leading into my senior year is to have a 4.0 GPA of higher and score a 25 or higher on my ACT.

I hold myself to very high standards and believe in accountability. I know that my success depends on not only my actions, but how I choose to do things and make tough decisions that will ultimately be for the best.
