Hello, My name is Peyton Miles. I wrestle for Lancaster High School In South Carolina. I wrestle the 4A divison for high school. Wrestling has helped me a lot through life. I’ve made many friends and have grown to love them as brothers. Growing up I always heard about how my cousin was a state champ at the high school level and from then on I always said I wanted to wrestle, but I was always told id have to wait until high school so that dream slowly faded away. In 8th grade a coach called a few guys out of class and asked if we were interested in wrestling and of course I joined. We joined late in the season only having a few matches and I won only once out of three matches. Freshman year I was ready to come back and get better until covid windelled the team down and I eventually quit. My sophomore year was my first true full season and I improved minimally making it to upper state and losing every match going 11-20 on the season. Junior year my best year so far I won my region, came 3rd at upper state after losing one match, and 5th in state Going 37-11 on the season. I want to get better everyday. I want to be able to win for my team and continue winning for my team. I want to improve and thrive. I want to be the best.
