Personal Statement
First of all, thank you for taking the time to review my athlete profile. I look forward to my high school career that is in front of me and relish the opportunity to work hard towards a collegiate baseball career. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. I have been blessed along the way to have influential coaches who have provided guidance to me in all aspects of sports: hard work, craft study, and physical and mental conditioning.
Ever since I can remember, my goal has been to play baseball at the professional level. My competitive nature as a player, along with consistent practice drives me to continuously strive to become a better athlete and a better person. As a catcher, I consider my greatest strength to be the ability to understand situations and read players swings to make adjustments. An area I would like to focus on is adding muscle mass to my frame to improve my physical strength.
During games and at practice I focus my attention on remaining committed to team support, giving my maximum effort and being a team leader.
Overall, I feel that I am a unique and dedicated student athlete. I am diligent in seeing that my studies are a primary focus and pride myself on my high GPA. In order to challenge myself, I mix advanced classes with my core classes.
I enjoy time away from baseball with my family. We like to travel and spend time camping. I find enjoyment in working out and listening to music as my hobbies. Volunteering my time to help those less fortunate is paramount in giving back for all that has been provided to me.
