Personal Statement
My name is Ron Pellegrino and I am a 5’ 11”, 205 lb, high school Senior from Downingtown, PA. with a passion for playing baseball. I am 17 years old and I will be graduating from high school in 2015. We finished the season 15-6 after being bounced by Coatesville in the 2nd round of District 1 playoffs. We finished our season as the Ches-mont National Champions. In addition to that excitement, the last year has been great. On May 1, 2013, I was inducted into the Downingtown East High school Chapter of the National Honor Society. On May 14, 2013, I received the Coaches Choice Player of the Year Award for the team for the Downingtown East High School Baseball program. And on January 18, 2014, for Shotput in Track and Field, I placed 4th out of 20 high schools in Chester County. I have been playing tournament baseball since I was 9 years old. As a person, I love being a leader and a role model. I have been the captain of my tournament team for 6 years. I am the man that your are looking for when you need someone to take control. Then, there is my drive. I have always been dreaming about playing College baseball. Next is my hustle. I never take any play for granted. I will run for every ball as fast as I can, will dive for anything I can get, and will never ever jog or walk on a ground ball. I will run out any play as fast as I can. As a baseball player, I am a five tool player. I am looking to play for a school in the southeast Atlantic coast area with a program in Accounting or Business Management. They must also have a strong commitment to their baseball program. My athletic goals are that I play as a Senior at the highest competition suitable and that I am able to impact the team.
