Personal Statement

  • I had a bat in my hand just about as soon as I could walk. My parents have videos of me hitting off a tee when I was just 18 months old. As far back as I can remember, baseball has been a part of my life. I'm blessed to have two very supportive parents who not only support my goals and ambitions, but my two younger brothers and all their pursuits as well. Family is everything. Our family made the difficult decision to move across the country from CA to TN in 2022. We left everything we've ever known and started over together in pursuit of a better future for our family. While it was extremely challenging, God has been so faithful. We've adjusted better than we could have hoped for and couldn't be more confident that all the sacrifice involved was worth it.
  • Life is full of opportunity and the same is true in baseball. I love the game. I love the process. I am firm believer that hard work, over time, multiplied by God, equals unstoppable momentum.  I continually set goals for myself and establish plans to achieve them. My days are long and the weeks go fast, but I wouldn't trade the feeling of accomplishment that comes when you commit to something, work hard, and achieve your goals. I had great examples as I watched my parents leave great stable jobs and pursue their calling in small business. It took tremendous faith, followed ton of continued hard work, but consistency in the small things and their commitment to learning and growing has allowed them to be successful.
  • I had the opportunity to start 7 games for the Franklin High varsity baseball team as a freshman, including one playoff game. It was invaluable learning from our seniors, who weren't just college commit baseball players, but true leaders on and off the field. They set the example in leadership, team work, attitude, and work ethic. I probably learned just as much about how to be a leader as I did about the technical aspects of the game. I learned I need to be just as committed to helping my team grow as I am to myself. I'm excited to step more into a leadership role as a sophomore as I will be the starting varsity catcher this coming season as a sophomore.
  • I want to attend college and play college baseball at the highest level possible. I want to be challenged academically and on the baseball field. I'm looking for an environment that supports growth and has a strong identity of the school and program they are. I look forward to upholding and honoring past traditions and also pursing growth for myself and the program that will take us to the next level. I'd love to accomplish something that hasn't been done before. I'm also looking for a program that has emphasis on helping me grow as a person, not just a baseball player.
  • Outside of school, training, and sports, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Six of my cousins and their families also moved from CA to TN this past year and we all live in the same neighborhood. I attend a weekly bible study with guys in my class and its become something I really look forward to each week. One of my favorite activities is camping. I'm hoping we find some new places to camp here in TN soon! We've had an annual friends/family camping trip every year since I was in diapers. It's always a good time and nice to disconnect from everything. My favorite place to vacation is Disneyland. It give me all the feels from the memories made over the years. We had annual passes for most of my childhood and for me it's the happiest place on earth!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
