Stephen Venegas '24 Recruiting Profile

I started playing football with TYFA in Texas, when I was 5 years old. Some have underestimated me due to my size.  One of the reasons that I stay focused and motivated is the fact that I know they are wrong.  I know that with every game there is something to learn. Win or lose, I see each experience as a learning lesson. Failure is a part of life, knowing how to come back stronger is the real challenge. Being able to overcome doubt has made me stronger and has opened my vision to become a better player.

I understand the game and the team concept. One person does not make or break a team. We all have a responsibility on the field, and I know that everyone's position is vital to the success of the team. I lift my teammates up because I know the sweat, blood and tears we all go thru to be the best we can be.  Academics has always come first for me, and I am proud of my accomplishments, thus far. I was recognized as one of the TOP 12 students in my class for both 7th and 8th grade. I am proud to have made the Principal's List since elementary. I am interested in pursuing an engineering degree along with continuing my involvement in playing football. In order to be successful in sports, I ensure that my grades are held to a high standard as well. 

I am grateful to be going thru this process with this recruiting agency. I have faith that I can achieve great things in life with continuous focus, hard work and determination.  I'm just asking for an opportunity to show you my full potential, both on and off the field.  If an opportunity arises, know that I will be fully committed to deliver results.
