From the time I started playing soccer at 4 years old and competitively at age 6, I have always had a dream to play at the collegiate and professional level. My whole life, hard work and dedication has driven my passion for soccer. This has gotten me into a position to make my dream a reality.
My skill set is diverse. I can play a variety of positions at a high level. I have extensive club and ODP experience on the back line in positions 2-5, and I have successfully defended some of the best attackers in my state and region for years. I consider myself an elite 1v1 defender. I am also very comfortable with the ball. Having been trained through ODP and with my club in a strict possession-oriented approach, I am proficient in building out of the back. More recently, I have been playing as a starting central midfielder (and sometimes forward) for my high school varsity team, and I feel comfortable in that position as well. I bring the added bonus of an elite defender to the midfield, where this is sometimes lacking in other players without my back line experience. I am also an elite penalty shooter. I am happy to play wherever I am needed the most to help my team win. I hate losing.
I go full out whenever I'm on the field, whether that is practice or a match and I always make sure that I have given 100% of my efforts to help my team. My extensive experience and knowledge of the positions I play makes me a true student of the game and highly coachable. I have a respect for coaches and training staff and I feel I listen and learn from each one of them. I watch professional soccer matches and analyze the players who are in my position so that I can improve my own game. I have a very positive character on and off the field, I don't get angry or annoyed with my teammates, and I know how to take criticism and learn from it. I feel I am very humble and try to provide support when I can to my teammates. Some may say I have a quiet demeanor but it's only because I am absorbing my surroundings and trying to soak in all I can about the game and my fellow teammates in an effort to be even better.
In the classroom, I work equally hard at my academics. I am a straight A student and in the top 10% of my class and do my best on all of my assignments. I also pride myself in asking a lot of questions to make sure that I understand everything involved with the assignments. I know I can be an asset to any team on the college level and if given the opportunity I will work hard and do my best to prove that everyday not only on the field but in the classroom as well.
