My name is Austin Pope. I am a junior, class of 2016. I have a 3.0 GPA. My grades are decent but I definitely have room for improvement. I plan to improve my study habits, GPA and do well on the ACT, so that I will be better prepared for college.
I am a highly competitive, coachable athlete with a nose for the football and a high football IQ. While growing up I played on competitive travel teams for baseball, basketball and football. I am currently a two-sport athlete and while I love basketball, my passion runs deep to play D1 football. I am 6'4" 1/2 220 lbs., with quick feet and good hands. I am a very physical player on both sides of the ball with good speed. I play WR, OLB and can block. Projected to be a hybrid TE at the next level. I am always looking to improve my game. I train with Devin Driscoll at Next Level and I am working hard to improve my speed, strength and skills on the field to better prepare me for my junior high school season and collegiate play. I plan to attend college camps this summer to improve my knowledge of the game and pick up any skills that will make me a better player and give me an edge over my opponent.
I am the youngest of 4 children. I have an older sister that will graduate from the University of Alabama, Summa Cum Laude and two older brothers. I have a great family support system and church family. I am a volunteer for Operation Snowflake and Lost Sheep Ministries.
Through competitive sports I have had the opportunity to visit different areas of the country and form some great relationships. I would love the chance to continue my education in a place I love, whether it be in my home state or across the country. I am looking for a college that would be a good fit, where I can make an impact. Thank you for your time and consideration.
