I hope to attend UCLA and study business in pursuit of a career as a sports agent if my basketball career with the NBA falls through. While there, I want to play college basketball with hopes that I can make it to a professional team. I believe I would be a good student to be chosen for this school because I have the work ethic and determination to complete my educational goals while pursuing my dreams to become an NBA player.
I have been in TAG/advanced in classes since third grade, and I will be taking honors courses in high school. My teachers have consistently reported that I am one of the brightest students in their classes, and retaining material comes easily for me with minimal effort. I am capable of maintaining high grade averages while committing to extra-curricular activities such as basketball.
For the last three years I have been playing for the local feeder team- the North Springs Junior Spartans. I have also played for my middle school team during 7th and 8th grade. I currently play for the AAU team Georgia Chaos, while attending weekly workout sessions with high school coaches. I plan on playing for the JV high school team in the fall. I also hope to attend the 5 STAR basketball camp this summer, and other camps as the opportunities arise.
I believe I am different from other student athletes because I will give 110% in both the classroom and on the court. I have demonstrated leadership abilities, and I am motivated to excel and reach my full potential both academically and on the court. I have a firm moral compass and believe that my everyday life choices will either help me achieve my dreams or take me farther away from them. For this reason I take care to surround myself with people who will support and uplift me and not distract me away from what's important.
I set high standards for myself, but I have the confidence and gifts to fulfill them. Any college that chooses me to represent them and their basketball team will find me to be a valuable asset in all arenas. I look forward to exploring the opportunities that will become available over the next 4 years.
