Hello, 

My name is Liam Sheard and I’m an 8th grader located in Syracuse, New York.  Although I’ve only played basketball for three short years, I’ve grown to appreciate and love the sport.  The skills didn’t come easily for me and many times I wanted to give up, but I continued to work hard and develop my skills. Basketball has taught me the power of dedication, hard-work, teamwork and perseverance.

My goal for college is to compete at the highest possible level, facing the toughest competition across the country.  I believe my hard-work ethic, ability to lead and kindness sets me apart from other recruits.  I feel that my positive attitude and determination would make me a great candidate for your team.  No matter the challenge, on and off the court, I face them and succeed.  As a candidate for your program, I will NOT quit and you will always see my personal best.
