Anthony Sorrentino '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, I’ve been playing hockey since I was around 7 years old. When I first started learning how to play I knew I’d love it because I’ve never got the hang of something so quickly. Ever since that day, I have dreamed of playing at the next level. Playing college hockey is not something everyone gets the chance of doing, so if I was given the chance to play somewhere I would fully take advantage of it.

Throughout my life I’ve been a great leader for my hockey team, and also my football team and lacrosse team. Leading by example and encouraging my teammates is very important to me because I want my team to be able to count on me during times of adversity. Being coachable and giving the team my best ability has always been what is important to me.

I go to Montini Catholic High school and I have worked very hard in the classroom throughout high school. School has never came easy to me, but I’ve learned you don’t need to be the smartest in order to get good grades. Studying hard, being close with my teachers, and overcoming failure in order to achieve success is what helped me maintain a solid GPA.

I’d like to attend a college that will allow me to push myself on and off the ice. My college options are opened completely and I would like to find the right match with the highest level of competition. In the future I hope to become a great role model for the people in my life and to make my parents proud. Soon I will be my parents first child to play a sport at the collegiate level.
