Hello, my name is Derek Cubero. I was born in the USA but I was raised in Costa Rica by my family. Last year my family decided to return to my country of birth to give me better soccer opportunities and academic opportunities. Since I was little, soccer has been the sport that has accompanied me all my life and has made me learn new things every day. My dream has always been to play professionally and enjoy this wonderful sport. In Costa Rica, I had the opportunity to be part of great clubs at the national level which helped me to develop as a player and as a person. My biggest dream and goal is to be able to play soccer in college at the highest level and to be able to demonstrate my soccer qualities. My dream of playing college soccer at the highest level and having a good academic opportunity is the perfect complement for my future as it will give me a great opportunity to achieve my future goals. My biggest positive aspect is adapting to new challenges, I have learned that new challenges are not something that intimidates me to achieve my dreams, no matter what situation happens, I have always been one of not giving up and fighting until the end.I hope to have the great opportunity to play college soccer at the highest level and show that this dream of coming to the USA is the beginning of great things for my personal and family life.
Sincerely,
Derek Cubero
