Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. While I have played numerous other sports, I am focused strictly on soccer as it is my passion and I love to learn about, watch, and play the game. Currently, I am the starting outside midfielder for my club team that has been consistently ranked in the top 20 teams in the country. I am looking to play soccer in college at a competitive level. Through playing soccer, I have learned a lot about not only the game, but the importance of good character, personal responsibility, and teamwork. I have learned what my strengths and weaknesses are and I have learned that through commitment and hard work I can continually improve. In addition to being a hard-working athlete, my academics and personal achievements are as equally important to me. I continue to challenge myself in the classroom by taking all honors and AP classes and earning a 4.33 GPA. A personal achievement that I am very proud of has been earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Furthermore, soccer is a team sport and without teamwork you cannot succeed in the game which is why I try to be the best I can to help my team win.
My academic goal for college is to earn a bachelor's degree at a four-year college in the sports medicine and health sciences fields.
