Personal Statement

I am a Seattle native, born and raised, and currently a member of the MT. Rainier High School varsity soccer team. Under the guidance of Coach Stan Thesenvitz, who boasts a national championship victory with Pete Fewing at Seattle University, I have honed my skills and developed a profound passion for this beautiful game. My aspirations revolve around the prospect of one day realizing my dream of competing at the collegiate level in soccer.

What sets me apart from other potential recruits is my innate leadership qualities and my unwavering commitment to the principle that "you are only as good as your last game." This philosophy drives me to consistently give my utmost effort, dedicating myself wholeheartedly every time I step onto the soccer pitch.

These are some things I have led my team to this season alone

  1. U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Championships
  2. Washington State Youth Soccer championship
  3. Third place in the Xfire Best of the Northwest tournament

Training

  • Alone training (ball mastery, fitness, speed and agility .etc) 4 hours everyday during COVID lock down
  • 4 years
  • While many individuals viewed the COVID lockdown as a setback, I perceived it as a distinctive opportunity. My daily routine consisted of rigorous academic commitments from 8:30 AM until 10 PM, and immediately following my Zoom sessions, I embarked on a 30-minute bike ride to the soccer field. There, I dedicated myself to intensive training sessions lasting for four hours every single day. It was during this time that I truly grasped the profound meaning of falling in love with the beautiful game of soccer. My life revolved around it, as I lived, breathed, and slept soccer. As the quarantine mandates gradually lifted, a remarkable transformation occurred within me. I transitioned from a left-back struggling to secure playing time due to my lack of fitness and technical proficiency to becoming the captain of my team. Under my leadership, our team achieved remarkable success, culminating in a triumphant victory at the state championship. This journey taught me the invaluable lesson that adversity can be turned into an opportunity for growth and success.
