Hello, my name is Julia Nault and I am a 15-year-old golfer from Cumberland, Rhode Island. I was introduced to golf by my father at age 7. I started competing in Drive, Chip, and Putt local/sub-regional qualifiers at age 11. I began tournament golf at the beginning of 2023. My first tournament was the Rhode Island Girls JV State Championship, which I won by 9 shots. Additionally, I was the only girl on the Cumberland High School Varsity co-ed team as a freshman. One thrilling experience I’ve had playing golf is getting my first hole-in-one on August 15th, 2023. Golf is my passion and playing collegiately is a goal I want to achieve. That said, my education is paramount, and maintaining a GPA over 4.0 is my biggest focus. Outside of the classroom, I have become invested in improving my game. I’m aware of the significant improvements I need to make in order to accomplish my goals. I love practicing, specifically addressing my weaknesses and learning how to capitalize on my strengths. I’m determined to get better every day, lower my scores, and become the best player I can possibly be. I work hard in all areas of my game, both on and off the course.
