Personal Statement

I am a 17 year old rising Senior playing for  Eclipse ECNL based out of Oakbrook, Illinois.  I am also apart of the Cary Grove High school Varsity Soccer Program based out of Cary, Illinois. I was a starter my Freshman Year (2019) and we were Conference, Regional and Sectional Champions. I had was the third leading scorer as a freshman with 7 goals and 5 assists. My strongest position on the soccer field would be the 11/7, but I am also able to play the 9, 10, and 8.  I am a strong right footed player, with an equally strong left foot and I can play anywhere on the field.  I am very fast and I have good endurance, which allows me to outrun and outplay my defenders. I am a very technical player and can beat my opponent 1v1 with my foot skills.

I am a good student and work hard in my classes. I currently have a 3.8 GPA. Both semesters of my freshman and sophomore year, I made the High Honor Roll. In school, I  challenge myself by taking all honors classes. My freshman year, I took Honors Geometry, Honors Biology, Honors English, and Honors Spanish. My sophomore year I took Honors Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, Honors Chemistry, and Honors English.  I am very interested in psychology, sports medicine, and sports marketing. Within my school, I am on the Girl's Varsity Basketball team and a part of a club called Connect Crew as well as the Interact Club, and a proud member of the National Honors Society.  When it comes to my involvement with my community, I am very active. I volunteer at our local retirement home, Feed My Starving Children, and local food pantries. I am also busy working a part-time job at our Park District teaching young kids how to play T-Ball and Soccer.

I am a goal oriented, hardworking, and determined person on and off the field and am looking for a program and school that will fulfill my drive as an athlete and as a student in the classroom.
